Comments: Really nice photos of Guam. We were stationed there and son was born there. Is N.A.S. WWII housing still there and the airfield and the old Navy Hostpital? Sent web site add. to my son whose birth was observed by a midwife class. They applauded. He went into show business.

Comments: OUTSTANDING photography - I was stationed with Heavy Photographic Squadron VAP-61 from March 69 to March 1872 - VAP-61 flew the RA-3B. Loved every minute of it. While with VAP, I made two detachments to Osan, Korea - one to Townsville, Australia and one to DaNang, Viettnam. Also while at DaNang, I did get a chance to go to the detachment at Bangkok, Thailand for a couple days R&R.
Once I was accepted by the local people things changed, I was invited to a Luaja almost every weekend.
Also while on Guam, I tried to get my private pilot's license but came up short by just a couple hours when I got transferred. Either I had to cancel, a/c availability, the weather or the instructor had to cancel. I was within a couple hours of soloing.

Comments: Hi, Great pictures! I am a 52 year old student pilot who unfortunately is on hold because of the FAA checking my medical. Anyway I have close to 60 hours and was very close to taking the checkride. Not sure at this point if I will ever get to finish. Meanwhile I really enjoyed your adventures in the pacific. Thanks for sharing
Bruce
Here's the comments left behind by some of the folks who took the poll I used to have here:
1. greetings from an Irish PPL...enjoyed your pics..safe flying!!
2.I should qualify the "As a pilot" comment as I flew on what was called "introductory" flights where new instructors were trying to get hours; you would get almost an hour of flight time where the instructor would actually let you control the aircraft. Technically I guess i was "piloting", but not a certified pilot. P.S. Could you send me a pic (po6518@sbc.com) of your Gold Wing with the kickstarter attached? I have never seen one. Thanx! Paul
3.Hey, came from reeky. I flew in a small airplane as a passenger out of Migs Field here in Chicago and in Cananda to a remote camp. Interesting photos.
4.My husband and I flew over the Grand Canyon in a single engine plane. It was frightful. It is obvious now but if I had known at the time that 1 propeller = 1 engine, I would not have gone!
5.Got my pilot's license in Yellowknife, in Canada's Northwest Territories. Awesome country to fly in. Enjoyed your pictures. Stay safe in the air as well as on two wheels.. LeRoy Pattison, living in super, natural, British Columbia
6.On 10/29/1992 in N5514H (C-152) over and around the mountains of Southwest Montana I watched a young man in the right seat "fly" his first 1.1hrs. I was sure then that it wouldn't be his last.. "Fly 'er low & slow, keep your nose up in the turns"....Love Ya Son.... Dad..
7.Friend had a Mooney. Great fun and freedom.
8.'Ya mean things besides B1-RDs and CG-U11s can fly????????
9.Thanks for sharing! (A fellow pilot)
10.The best pix of Guam that I've seen! I'm an islander and have been away for three years - miss it so much - the island - not the politics. Thank for the memories. lemado_guam@hotmail.com. Much thanks. Esta later. Marlena Alo
